Wilson Ranch

We are proud to have an exclusive listing on the 2,930 +/- acre Wilson Ranch in Bailey County, Texas.  This outstanding agricultural and hunting ranch is located 13 miles west of the town of Enochs on CR 54.  The ranch features 2,130 +/- acres of native range land, and 800 +/- acres of cultivated farmland.

The 2,130 +/- acres of native pasture ranges from almost level to gently rolling.  Grasses on the ranch consist of blue grama, side-oats grama, western wheatgrass, buffalo grass, tobosa, plains bristle grass, and Arizona cottontop.  Along with the native range land there are 800 +/- acres of cultivated dryland.  The cultivated farmland has historically been planted in grain sorghum and winter wheat.  Typically, half of the cultivated land is planted in grain sorghum in the summertime and the other half is planted in winter wheat for grazing and hay production.  The ranch is well fenced and cross-fenced into multiple pastures.  The average rainfall in this area is approximately 18.4 inches per year.

There are nine water wells on the ranch that are used for livestock water.  There are also five earthen tanks, and all but one is stocked with fish.  It is reported the fishing is excellent.

The ranch has three sets of cattle pens, with one being partially covered.  There is also a large three-sided metal barn that is used as a shelter for cattle.

Hunting on the ranch is considered to be excellent with game species that include dove, quail, mule deer, waterfowl and antelope.
